Fox Park is located in Menominee County, on the east side of M-35 along the shores of Green Bay. It's 6 miles north of the village of Cedar River, or about a 25 minute drive southeast from Escanaba. The northern entrance to the park leads to several picnic sites along Green Bay. The southern entrance is for the campground.
From the northern entrance to the park picnic area, head south along the main pathway. Walk beyond the twin houses for about 65 paces, and look west, where you'll see a tall dead trunk. The box is under a six-foot log in front of that dead trunk, between the two arms towards it.
If you reach the bridge to the campground area, you've gone too far.
CAUTION: Poison ivy often grows in this area.
