Clues

Difficulty: Clues & walk – very easy
Stamp hand-carved
Status: probably missing

NOTICE: this letterbox is probably missing. Two letterboxers have reported not being able to find it. However, I have not yet verified that it is missing.

This box is located at the north edge of Laughlin. Park in the "Fisherman’s Access Area" lot which is at the southeast corner of Casino Dr. and SR 163 (= "the road over the bridge")

Walk north on Casino Dr. The easiest way to do this is to walk under the bridge and go up the other side to the road [you can try walking west along SR163 and cross where Casino Dr. comes in from the north; however, this looks difficult and dangerous!]. Continue walking north on Casino Dr. Go to the second "no camping" sign (it is almost at the end of the steel railing). From this sign go at about 224 degrees (from mag. north) for about 74 steps to a small lone almost-dead Mesquite Tree on a small hill or rise between two ridges. The box is at the west side of the Mesquite under a flat rock covered with some plant debris. Be alert for snakes and scorpions.

Please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag). Please rehide the box well under the rock and covered with some twigs and plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.

Enjoy the view of the Colorado River.

I will not be able to check on this box; so, please let me know if you find it, or if it is missing or needs attention: http://home.att.net/~azroadie/letterboxing.html

This box is in my “Colorado River Series”. The other one is “Yuma Prison”.

Please record your find at www.letterboxing.org/ or at www.atlasquest.com/ .
