This park has walking trails, a natural history center, a four mile canoe trail and an observation tower. You will need a park map, found at trailheads and inside the visitor center, to locate this box.
To the trailhead: Just east of Derby Lane on Gandy Boulevard turn south onto San Martin Boulevard, Look for info signs to the Weedon Island Preserve. Alternatively, turn off 4th St. N. and 83rd Ave. N.
To the letterbox: Find the bosky glen where Sir Baden Powell’s followers might like to spread a picnic lunch. From this spot take a dozen steps at 220 degrees magnetic to a reclining cyclops. A meter from it’s tail end, is the waiting Spoonbill.
