Take I5 Exit 283 and head east to Memorial Drive. Then go south to the park entrance. Park in the southwest corner of the main lot. Find the swings next to the pedestrian entrance on the west side of the park. This is where the directions from Angelica's letterbox bring you into the park.

Clues:

Box 1-Maricela's box:

Maricela and Karina were jealous of Angelica's letterbox, so they decided to head to Memorial Park to play a game of Hide and Seek. They ran south from the swings towards the river. Looking around the ramada and horseshoe pits they didn't find any place they liked. They rested for a moment on a bench dedicated to Carl Egger, trying to decide which direction to go. After a moment they were off again, following the main path downriver. They glanced down the numerous side paths but didn't choose one until they reached a large tree. The large tree seemed to be sprouting all the way to the top. "It looks like a porcupine!" Maricela chose this path and as soon as she crested the hill, saw a stump at the bottom. From here you can see the river. She ran to the stump, jumped in the middle, and pulled some bark in on top of herself. As far as we know, she is hiding there still. If you listen closely, you can probably hear her giggling.

Box 2-Karina's box:
******GONE*******

Karina liked Maricela's spot, but thought she could do better. She continued from this spot, and then took a left. When she was back to the main path, she again headed downriver. She danced along happily until she came to a "Y". Pausing here a bit, she chose to head towards the water. She pirouetted past a stump and under an arch. She continued down the path, still hunting a hiding spot. Looking high in a tree to her left, she saw a place for a bird to hide, but not for her. Across from this was a path to the right. She took this path. When she came to another "Y" she again went right. As she started to jump a log in her way, she glanced left. She saw a smaller log crossing the one in her way. She crawled under where the two logs crossed and pulled some leaves over her head. So well hidden she thought, no one will ever find me. Can you?

Box 3-Sierra's box:

Unknown to Karina and Maricela, their cousin Sierra had been following them through the woods. After Karina hid, Sierra continued down the path until she entered a clearing with a number of newly planted trees. She took a left and tumbled along the edge of the woods. Looking at the trees, she saw another path leading back in, so she took it. She began counting her steps. When she reached sixty-five, she saw on her right what looked like siamese twins attached at the roots. She tiptoed around the twins and crawled under some bark at their base. Last time I checked, she was curled up smiling at her creativity.

If you follow the path and keep to the right, you will see a shelter through the trees on your right. Follow the path to the shelter and you should be able to see where you started. Have fun.
