Emma - Set in the fictional country village of Highbury and the surrounding estates of Hartfield, Randalls, and Donwell Abbey, this novel/movie takes readers/viewers on a comical journey through misunderstandings and misadventures in a small English Village.
Enter the main entrance of the St. Joseph Cemetery in Willimantic. Follow the path to the large altar. Continue straight and turn left onto the first dirt road.
On your right spot ‘Donnelly’ with a cross on top.
Back two stones and on the left, you will find Harriet Smith.

In the novel Emma, Harriet Smith is a young woman who has the unfortunate luck of befriending Emma who gives poor Harriet the worst advice on a daily basis.

Facing Harriet, go to the main path on your left and follow it to the back of the cemetery.
When the road curves left, look in front of you. There is a tree stripped of its bark.
There is a hole about 3 feet high, within that hole you will find Harriet and Emma out for an afternoon stroll.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
