The Gay Hill Shoolhouse was moved from Gay Hill to here at Old Baylor Park in Independence. One room schoolhouse. Great park with ruins of Old Baylor College.
Directions:
In Independence, at Intersection of Hwy 50 and FM 390, go west on FM 390 a short distance, then rightish on Old Baylor College road and park on right in front of white schoolhouse (Before the entry columns to Baylor collage).
To the Letterbox:
Walk to left side of Schoolhouse, then to back, turn right and go along back to 2nd cement base pillar. Box is on back side of that pillar on the ground.
