***** Part of the Other Forts of Texas Series *****

Camp Millican was a CSA recruiting post located near Millican in 1861. Nothing remains of the post. This box is in Wheat Cemetery (great old cemetery to explore), which was near the site.

Directions:
From intersection of FM 159 and FM 2154, go east on FM 2154 for a short distance, then right on Henderson Rd. Go about a mile or two to Cemetery on your right. Go to far entry, turn right and enter and go to back. swing right and park next to "Hodges" Headstone on right.

To the Letterbox:
Walk past Hodges stone and across cemetery to middle archway sign for Cemetery and fence. Go left along fence to large Crepe Myrtle trees. Look left for headstone for Mary Vance and go to right side of that headstone and crepe myrtle. Box in middle of that tree. (Small box).

Hike length: 0.1 miles
