Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: 30 yards

***** Part of the Other Forts of Texas Series *****

Post Washington was a Texas Ranger garrison established in March of 1836, 3 months after the Runaway Scrape. Nothing remains of the Post. The box is located in Washington Cemetery, near the site of the Post.

Directions:
From Hwy 105, go south toward Washington on FM 1155. Turn left at sign for Cemetery on Washinton Cemetery Rd. Cemetery will come up on the left edge of road. Turn left at 2nd entry, then quick right and park near gated plot on your right.

To the Letterbox:
Go to the left of the gated plot and see all the "Sales" Headstones. Go past to far one for Mable and Astor, then on past that to the one in the tree line for "Fielder". Box is on back base of that stone on right side.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
