Originally placed by Kim and adopted in October 2007 by Dawg Pound.

1110 Ben Gause Rd.
Coward, SC

This is pretty far from Florence. (about 30 minutes)
Go south on Irby St., or Hwy 52, until you go over Lynches River. Just past the bridge, there is a sign and a turn off for the park. You have to go relatively far here too. You have to turn again to actually get into the park and there is another sign there. Turn in by the Riverwalk and Canoe Launch Area. Park in the gravel parking lot and go down to the map. Do not go on the wooden boardwalk, enter the other path. You will cross a wooden bridge and later the path will branch, either to another wooden bridge or straight down. Take either path, they meet again. Then you will come to a sign on the right that says Nature Trail. Continue straight. You will pass by some education centers. Keep going, it will take awhile. Never branch off of the main trail. Eventually, you should see a trail off to the left that leads to the road. There will be a fallen tree in the area between the two trails. Around the far side of the tree, you will find your surprise. When you are done, keep going, it is a loop, you will make it back to the beginning.
