Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: 20 yards
This box is located in Bedias Methodist Cemetery. Nice old cemetery west of town. Here is the story behind the box: One of the most unique features of this region is the large number of tektites (also called "Bediasites") found here. These are beautiful, glassy, meteor-like stones which fell to earth 34 million years ago. Amazingly, Indians called them "Jewels of the Moon".
Directions:
From Hwy 90 in Bedias, go west on FM 1696. Turn left on CR 125 and pass end of cemetery, then left on Shiflet Rd and park about mid-cemetery by walk in gate.
To the Letterbox:
Enter the gate and go to 1st tree, a little to your left. Box is in middle, to left of the main trunk (right side of that truck has tombstone on it).
Hike length: 0.1 miles
