Hitchhiker friendly? Yes Child friendly? Yes
Wheelchair friendly? No
Time: About half an hour including stamping in
This series is dedicated to the many animals that are currently on our endangered species list. Hopefully someday they will be taken off the list as the Bald Eagle was just a few years ago. With efforts we can make a difference! There are currently five boxes, and I will be adding more in the coming months.
To the box:
Take highway 34 westbound through Philomath. Take a left on Decker Road. Watch for the red, white, and blue gates. The third one, labeled Rose Road, is just before milepost 2. (About 1.8 miles from Highway 34)
Park on the shoulder and head up the road. When it's time for a decision, go NW. Soon you'll come to a spot that made me say WOW. What a wonderful pond, I spotted lots and lots and lots of animals in the area. Stand on top of the culvert and watch the water animals. While you're standing there take a reading of 285 degrees. A huge stump lies in your line of sight. On the southwest side of the stump the humpback whale is hiding, just waiting for you to unearth him.
Happy hunting
