Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: 25 yards
Located in Decker Prairie Cemetery, a mid sized quiet cemetery. This is near the location where In the early 1860s a Confederate powder mill operated on nearby Spring Creek, but an explosion in late 1863 destroyed the mill and caused the deaths of three workers.
Directions:
From Hwy 249, go west on Decker Prairie road. Turn right on Cemetery Rd and go through entry gate. When reach cemetery, turn right on grass along edge of end of headstones and stop at stone for "Prophet".
To the Letterbox:
From "Ted Prophet's" grave, go down that row of headstones to the Cedar tree on left with statue of a girl before it. Box is in the middle of the tree, about 5 feet up, with pine needles on top. Easiest to get from far side.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
