Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: 50 yards

The town was named for a Catholic Saint, St Apolonia, the patron saint of dentists, by Polish Immigrants in 1880s. Cemetery is out of town, in a quiet area, and is great to explore (along with cemetery next to it).

Directions:
From Anderson, go east on FM1774. Turn left on FM2819. You will not see sign for town of Apolonia, so be on lookout for CR214. Turn right on CR214 and go almost to intersections with CR211. Cemetery is on right. Park on side of road by first entry for "Apolonia Cemetery".

To the Letterbox:
Enter through gate and walk down road to the 4th tree on the left side of path. Go left for 30 steps to "Walker" Headstone. To the side is a crepe myrtle tree. Box is in middle of that tree. Be careful of Poison ivy.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
