Gold Camp Brewing is a Colorado-history themed brewery with a rotating variety of their beers on tap. It also has food trucks and occasional live music, so come for a beer before finding this box at Red Rock Canyon-Section 16 Trail.
Directions:
For the brewery, drive north on S Nevada Ave from I25 for 0.3 mile, then turn left on Mill St to brewery on the left. For the box, from Hwy 24 go south on S 26th St for 1 mile, left on Bear Creek Rd for 0.5 mile, then right on Gold Camp Rd for 1 mile to Section 16 Trailhead parking on right, or a little further for more parking.
Clues:
Walk on trail, staying straight at jcts, to Y jct with two benches. Go left (straight) to another Y jct with view of Garden of the Gods on right. Go left (straight) to 4-way jct with map sign on right. Go left & up on trail opposite map 35 steps to pine tree on left edge of trail. LB is at left base of tree under sticks, a rock & needles.
