EASY WALK
Flat surface but total distance is approx. 4.3 miles round trip so allow at least an hour and a half if you walk. Otherwise, follow the same directions with a car or bike and there is a grassy area to park.
EASY CLUES
*Please note, this box does not contain an ink pad so bring your own!

Florida is hot in the summer, if you walk this please use sunblock and carry water

In Pompano Beach, find the intersection of Federal Highway (US 1) and NE 10th Street. At the northwest corner you will find a fire station, park in the lot to the east of the fire station. Walk to the north side of the fire station and sit on the benches provided. Looking north off in the distance you will see a large hangar. This is the home of a very "good" dirigible. This airship is the inspiration for the letterbox in this area.

Near your feet you will see a paved bike trail. begin to walk towards the West on this trail. After about a mile the trail turns north. Before you start to follow the trail if you look to your left (south) you will see "elks" across the street. After you know you have spotted the "elks" follow the trail north for about 1.0 mile. As you stroll along this scenic path you will notice all sorts of "birds" overhead. You will also pass the winter home of our mighty airship. As you pass the stables past the hangar, you will come upon a "u" shaped seating area on the east side of the trail. It is sectioned off with large old telephone poles and a flowering tree stands in the middle of the seating. From the trail, turn right into the seating area, walk up and face the center of the first bench on your right. With your legs touching the center of that bench 160 degrees magnetic is a tree. In its crook you will find what you seek

PLEASE NOTE, USE GLOVES OR STICK TO POKE, EXPLORE AT YOUR OWN RISK, PLEASE DO NOT DESTROY OR DISTURB AND PART OF NATURE.
