Pine Barrens Bog Turtle letterbox

Somewhere on Highway 679 used to be a very old town that no longer exists today. This towns name lives on in the lake nearby. If you find the ruins of this old mill, start from the famous well that still sprouts water today. Do not drink this water as it has an extremely high iron content.

From this well, walk along the fence south. It takes a slight jog to the right for a couple feet. Before you cross the dirt road there should be a pit on your left. Sight from the corner of the fence 220 degrees to a cedar tree. From this cedar tree walk due south to a cellar hole. A cellar hole is where a house once stood. From the southwest corner of the cellar hole sight a path 230 degrees to the tree in the center of the field. From there sight a path 250 degrees to a very unique split tree. Look inside the larger downed part of this tree for this letterbox. Thank you for stamping in. Please return it to it’s proper resting spot and please cover well. Thank you.

Always proceed at your discretion. The owner of this letterbox assumes no responsibility for your actions or any occurrence to you or your company on this hunt. Please remember you are in a state forest. Remember pack in pack out your trash and only you can prevent forest fires. Treat this forest as if it were your home. Tread lightly.
