DIFFICULTY: Easy, flat trail.

DIRECTIONS: From Shepherd on Hwy 59 take TX 150 West and approx. 5 miles you will see a green park sign that says Big Crek Scenic Area. Turn left--follow dirt road 2 miles to Big Creek Scenic Area parking lot.
CLUES: From the parking lot take the trail to Lone Star Trail junction. Here there is a sign with a map of the trail painted on it. Turn right onto the Lone Star Trail and go 5 paces past the SECOND foot bridge. Then 15 paces left off of the trail at the bottom of a large Magnolia tree you will find Lone Star Trail in a hole in the front of the tree. Please replace sticks covering box to help keep hidden.
