Berliner Weisse (Berlin White) is a wheat beer of low alcohol content that is fermented with a mixture of yeast and lactic acid bacteria, giving it a distinctive sour taste. In the late 19th century, Berliner Weisse was the most popular alcoholic drink in Berlin with up to fifty breweries producing it, but now one of the few brands still produced in Berlin is Berliner Kindl Weisse. It is often served in a bowl-shaped glass with flavored syrups, such as raspberry, so be sure to have some before or after finding this box at Tiergarten, Berlin’s most popular inner-city park.

Directions:
Go to the corner of Behrenstra and Ebertstra at the Jewish Memorial across from an entrance to Tiergarten.
