***REPORTED MISSING AFTER HURRICANE RITA****
PLACED: 3/11/2004
WE SAW A SNAKE THE DAY WE PLANTED THIS BOX. Also poison ivy!
DIRECTIONS: Village Creek State Park in Lumberton. From 69/96/287 in Beaumont head north to Lumberton and take Mitchell Road exit. Follow signs to park. There is an entrance fee. Stop at the headquarters for free pamphlets and maps.
CLUES:
After you pass the headquarters you will see a sign on the right that says WATEROAK TRAIL-2 MI. DEAD END. Park here and follow the trail to the 4-way trail intersection. On the left behind the big sign is a group of small trees. On the back side of the tree group there was a small indention in the ground. Here I placed the Squire Squirrel LB and covered it with leaves and sticks. The sticks are placed in the "letterbox" fashion. Please re-cover well and replace sticks.
PS- Baby Bear has a box nearby.
