Box is unavailable.

Originally placed by Martha and adopted in October 2007 by Dawg Pound.

Timrod park is located off of Cherokee and Coit Street. Parking is best near the tennis courts.

Go over the bridge that is to the left of Bill Jeffries Center and behind the tennis courts. Once across the creek look for a small hut, which marks the entrance to the Timrod Nature Trail and read the information on the Society of American Foresters. Go up the stairs of the trail past Quercus alba. Go left at the fork that leads past something nice to see but poisonous to touch (Poison Ivy). Also go past the tree characterized by its light bark and often yields pecans that are also grown in Florence (Bitternut Hickory). After passing a tree known for its hardwood (Southern Red Oak) you will find two stumps, after the stumps is an unmarked tree sitting on the trail’s corner that looks like a stump with limbs growing from it. Hidden inside and around back of this tree is the box you seek.
