Part I
A Blue Heron soars above the ground searching for a new home. Near a wetland pond he spots Blue Heron Nature Preserve and flies closer to investigate. He spies a creek passing under a bridge and decides to follow the road as it heads towards the Woodland. He has to Loop his Trail as he goes to see all the amazing parts of the forest! Flying through the trees is so much fun! The ground is covered with sand.. how did that get here? Up ahead he spies an overlook above the creek. He stops for a moment to enjoy the view but his flight is not over yet. Following the creek, he spies a strange tree without a top and a silver disk countdown of 3..2..1 on its side. What a strange thing to see! I wonder what those tags mean? He decides to stop at the clearing up ahead and think about all the amazing things he has seen. While he knows that humans sit on benches to think, he chooses to find a place hidden from view. He spots another curious sign. Its old, wooden and low to the ground. A rectangular rock shields it on one side. Ah ha! A perfect place to stop!

Part II
After the Blue Heron meditates on all that he has seen so far, he decides its time to continue his journey to find the perfect place for a new home. He spreads his wings and lifts off the ground. This time he follows the other side of the creek. What a different environment this is! The ground is no longer covered with sand and the homes are much closer than before. He soars in between trees and past a giant oak on the right that looks like a giant 3 toed heron foot! How funny! Soon the trees reveal a beautiful meadow by a garden. What a beautiful place for a Heron To Stretch Out His Wings! Home at last!
