Walking distance: about 0.1 mile one way
Trail difficulty: fairly easy, flat and paved.

The answers to the questions in the clues for this webbox are located in Aztec Ruins National Monument in northern New Mexico. Letterboxes are not allowed to be physically placed in national parks and monuments and other sites administered by the U. S. National Park Service. So, I have created this webbox. You must actually visit the area of the clues; however, you need to go to the Web to obtain your finders stamp.

Go to Aztec Ruins National Monument. Park in the lot by the visitor center.

Walk to the east side of the parking lot, enter the picnic ground and look for a colorful interpretive sign titled “Explore Aztec”. In the paragraph under the title (starts with the words ”For at least …”), in the last line, what is the 2nd word _____?

Now, walk through the visitor center, into the ruins area, and enter the Great Kiva from the south entrance. As you walk down the entrance steps look above you for a sign that starts with the words “Stay off …” In the 3rd line, what is the last word (all letters lower case) _____?

To create the mystery word, put the word from the second question on the end of the word from the first question (without spaces). Paste the mystery word (all letters lower case) into this URL (replacing the question marks “???” with the mystery word):

http://nostalgia.esmartkid.com/???.html

Now, plug/paste/type the new URL into your web browser and you will have completed your search for the Aztec Ruins Monument Webbox.

Please record your find at www.letterboxing.org/ .
