Ready Player One is a science fiction novel by Ernest Cline set in a dystopian 2044. It follows protagonist Wade Watts on his search for an Easter egg in a worldwide virtual reality game, the discovery of which will lead him to inherit the game creator's fortune. The book was published on August 16, 2011, and an audiobook was released the same day, narrated by Wil Wheaton. A film adaptation, screenwritten by Cline and Zak Penn and directed by Steven Spielberg, was released on March 29, 2018. This book is one of my all time favorites (I especially like the audiobook since Wheaton does a great job as narrator), and I can't wait to see the movie. Since Cline lives in Austin, I thought it would be appropriate to place this box there in Mary Moore Searight Park.

Directions:
From I35 go west on W Slaughter Ln for 1.5 miles, then left on S Mary Moore Searight Dr to end at Mary Moore Searight Park and park by pavilion.

Clues:
Walk on sidewalk to left of pavilion to another pavilion before one at creek. Go right through it onto dirt path in trees, following a creek to a bench overlooking a dam. Continue on trail as it bends right for 30 steps, then go right off trail 11 steps to leaning cedar tree. LB is in hollow at back base under rocks and leaves.

Hike length: 0.5 miles
