Beautiful Peach Cove is located within Bream Head Scenic Reserve at Whangarei Heads. It is a lovely bay surrounded by native bush and plenty of birdlife.
Peach Cove can be accessed in one of 4 ways:
- Walk from Peach Cove car park (Peach Cove Track, 1 hr one way per DOC)
- Walk from Urquharts Bay car park (via the start of the Busby Head Track, 3 hours one way per DOC)
- Walk from Ocean Beach car park (via the Te Whara Track, 3 hours one way per DOC)
- Or take a boat!
At the beach you will be looking for a Pohutukawa tree in between 2 large rocks, roughly mid way along the beach.
Hike length: 3-5 miles
