Booneshine Brewing Company is a craft brewery founded by Carson Coatney and Tim Herdklotz in early 2015. With beers like Darth Vader Black IPA and Tropicpale Ale, there is something for everyone. Visitors to the brewery can enjoy Booneshine beer next door in the tasting room located inside Basil’s Fresh Pasta and Deli. You can find this box on the Cascades Trail not too far away.
Directions:
For the Brewery, go to 246 Wilson Drive in Boone. For the box, go northeast on Blue Ridge Pkwy 9 miles north of US 421 to Cascades Overlook.
Clues:
Walk on the Cascade Trail, which starts by the restrooms, taking left fork of loop along creek and passing return jct to see falls. Go back and take return part of loop across bridge and up steps with a rail. Continue 23 steps then go right and up 10 steps off trail to big standing dead tree. LB is at back base under a rock & leaves.
