(Plan on 1 hour.) Take Route 215 to lower Brook St. Go down the road a little ways. Turn down Haley Farm Rd. Park in the lot at the end of the road. Enter the park through the gate on the far left. When you first enter, there is a fork. Take the left trail. You will pass a pond on your right and over two brigdes. After the second bridge, go 70 paces to a trail. Take this trail. After you pass through the first stone wall, note a tree,(not ceder)with a rock at the base of it. The Warm Winter letterbox is nestled between the rock and the tree.
Continue on this trail. After you pass through the second stone wall, turn left on to the trail and walk 39 paces. Stop and take a compass reading of 160 degrees.Turn left. Head down this trail. When you near the end, look to your right for a small clearing and faint path. Go to the small clearing. Notice a tree with a jumble of rocks around it. Face this tree and go 280 degrees toward a low tree that looks like a bush with no leaves. Hidden in the branches is the Fire Dept. letterbox. Head back to the trail. Pass through the stone wall and turn left. Head down the hill toward the water. At the end of the trail, turn left again. This trail will take you back to your cars.
