Just outside Niverville on Hwy 59 this roadside monument serves as a memorial for early settlers to the area who died of diphtheria. Their resting place was moved into Niverville when Hwy 59 expanded. To find what you seek walk behind the monument and face the field with the "sun" at your back. Walk 8 steps toward the field then turn left and walk 15 steps to a multi-branched tree with a mossy trunk near its base. On the west side of this tree at its base under a thatch of dead grass lies the treasure you seek. Be stealthy as the monument and trees are very visible from the highway! Happy letterboxing!
