Walking distance: 0.4 mile loop trip
Trail difficulty: very easy on flat metal boardwalk

The answers to the questions in the clues for this webbox are located in White Sands National Monument in southern New Mexico. Letterboxes are not allowed to be physically placed in national parks and national monuments administered by the U. S. National Park Service. So, I have created this webbox. You must actually visit the area of the clues; however, you need to go to the Web to obtain your finders stamp and sign the log book.

Drive to the White Sands National Monument which is just off of U. S. Highway 70 about 15 miles southwest of Alamogordo. Drive into the monument and go to the car park for the Interdune Boardwalk trailhead

At the beginning of the trail is a colorful interpretive sign titled “A White Oasis”. In the left paragraph just below the title (starts with the words “The stark, pure”), in the 3rd line, what is the 3rd word ______?

Continue walking on the trail, go to the end, and look for a colorful interpretive sign titled “Lift The Land, Then Separate…” (it is the middle one in a group of three signs). In the left paragraph just below the title (starts with the words “Powerful forces from”), in the 2nd line, what is the 5th word ______?

To create the mystery word, put the word from the second question on the end of the word from the first question (without spaces). Paste the mystery word into this URL (replacing the question marks “???” with the mystery word):

http://nostalgia.esmartkid.com/???.html

Now, plug/paste/type the new URL into your web browser and you will have completed your search for the White Sands Monument Webbox II.

Please record your find at www.letterboxing.org/ .
