Make your way to Fern Ledge & Farm Hill Estates land trust, parking is by the old Middlesex Clinic.
Head in to the woods on the trail, when you get to the fork in the trail, you can go right or left (right is probably a little longer). When the trail goes over a rocky outcrop that extends off the trail, walk off the trial on the rocks about 25 paces til you reach a tree growing out of a rock. The Bird in the Ferns Letterbox is tucked next to the tree, hidden by stones.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
