This is a letterbox, not a geocache. So please do not take the stamp in trade.

Volant means flying which is how we get to Rhode Island. The image is copied from Mimbres pottery of New Mexico which was made about A.D. 1100.

Directions: Across the street form Burnside Park, Downcity in Providence, RI is The Rhode Island Foundation on Express Terrace Boulevard. To the north of that building is an entrance to the Waterplace Basin Park along Woonasquatucket River which is where Waterfire celebrations occur from spring until early November. Go under Memorial Boulevard where it's marked Water Place, through the Wall of Hope and enter the Water Basin. Overhead will be a sign for Union Plaza after passing through, but put your back to the Wall of Hope tunnel and face outward.

Clues: Take a bearing of 11 o'clock and walk around. nor, thinned, ray, ale, 4, we, eel, Chez, errs.

Please take away from the hidey-hole to stamp in so as not to draw attention to the spot. Rehide back in exactly the same spot with everything sealed up and nothing left sticking out.

Happy hunting.
