Hello! This is the FIRST letterbox placed by the LilBeaAllStars. We hope you enjoy this walk in the Town Forest.

1. Start at the entrance to the forest at the intersection of Grove Street and Family Circle.
2. Enter the forest by walking up Strout Avenue (also the driveway to the Town Compost).
3. When you get to the Town Compost, take a right and follow a dirt road through the Town Compost, up a small hill and follow the dirt road into the forest itself.
4. Follow the main path. You'll pass 2 paths heading off to the right but bear left with the main path.
5. Follow the path through a marsh.
6. Just after the marsh there will be a large open path leading off to the right. Take that path.
7. As you walk on that path you will immediately pass a path going up stairs on the right but stay on the main path.
8. Walk a little further and you will see another path heading off to the right, which has large boulders on either side of the path, but stay on the main path.
9. Soon after that you will see a path heading off to the left. This is the path you want.
10. Take 5 steps onto that path. Then turn left. You should see two large rocks together a few steps off the path.
11. The letterbox is on the back side of the two rocks at the base of the rocks.

If you want to walk a bit more, there is a campfire area just a bit further along on the main path. It is a nice place to sit and have a snack.

Hike length: 1-2 miles
