Every day people visit parks. They go there to-
* Walk their dogs
* Have picnics
* Go hiking
They are so busy with their own activities that often times they miss the MAGIC going on all around them! I invite you to pay close attention and MAYBE you will find the Magical Creatures that call this park HOME!

Directions- Enter the park and turn right to the East Parking Lot.

Box 1 - Arabella

Arabella is a brave and valliant fairy! She loves to fly high in the sky with the eagles!

Follow the All Peoples Loop north towards the lake. You will pass swings & benches as well as a plaque about the eagles and osprey that are Arabella 's friends. Continue on the path until you see the large stone monuments. Along the north section of this trail you will see a wooden suspension bridge. Arabella can be found behind the small tree at the fence post farthest east.
* Please use caution, this is one of the most open areas in the park.

Box 2 - Bonnie

Bonnie is a carefree , fun loving fairy. She loves to play tag and hide & seek with the chipmunks and squirrels.

Continue on the trail to the "Swim at your Own Risk" sign. Start down the stairs to the lake. At the 1st landing, take the trail to the right, behind the bench. You will see a lovely grotto with a stone bench. Bonnie's favorite hiding place is directly behind the center of the bench. Did you find her?

Box 3 - Cyrene

Cyrene is a beautiful mermaid. She spends her days singing to the music of the waves splashing on the shore.

Continue on the small fairy path that leads toward the lake. On the right you will see an abandoned concrete ice house/ boathouse. Take the 1st fork left and the 2nd fork right. Carefully follow the path to the front of the building. Cyrene is hiding outside on the right side, behind the ridge. Make your way down to the beach if you have time!

Box 4 - Dot

Dot is a bashful little ladybug! She likes to hide deep in the forest.

Climb back up the stairs and continue on the trail. You will pass a bench in memory of Talley. Go to the next bench and count 30 paces. Be alert! On the left you will see a stone sculpture. Follow the fairy trail to the sculpture. Dot is hiding in the stump to the right.

The trail will lead you back to the parking lot. If you have time take the Ramble Trail to the other side of the park. Keep your eyes open for the young buck and doe that can often be seen eating flowers along the trail. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the Magical Forest! It's one of my FAVORITE Places in the Whole World!
