Mohonk Dinosaur

Drive to Mohonk Preserve and after parking in the West Trapps parking
lot take the yellow trail east for a short while until its meets the red
trail at the Shawangunk path sign. Go up Shawangunk path about 10 paces and you
will see a “foot travel only” sign on the right. About 3 paces past that sign is a flat
rock ledge on the left side of the trail with a maple tree at its southern edge. Look under this ledge for a pile of rocks hiding a Brontosaurus.

A little Birdie

Go back out onto the West Trapps connector trail and head over the
Trapps bridge about 30 paces past the west side of the bridge welcome
sign to the Millbrook Ridge trail. Go 4 paces up the Millbrook ridge
trail and you should see a chestnut oak tree on the right side of the trail. Behind the oak
tree is a large boulder. Look under the boulder to find the birdie hiding under a pile of rocks.
