This letterbox is my first plant, and is placed in loving memory of and dedicated to my husband. He owned and operated Diversity Signs, a sign and vinyl graphics business, downtown Fremont for 13 years before he unexpectedly passed away; it no longer exists. So many of the signs in and around the area were created by this business. If you visit Fremont in the late spring, summer, or fall, there is a beautiful “quilt garden” of flowers at the corner of West Main Street and Gerber Avenue, with a bench where you can rest for a bit.

I cannot express enough thanks to my daughter-in-law, Stephanie, who carved the stamp; my son, Kevin and granddaughter, Sierra, who helped create the box; and Angel Winks for her wonderful expertise in assisting with the location and clues.

CLUES:
Enter through the gates, and find Section 8. Park by the post. Find the parents of Melissa, Kevin, and Jennifer. Write down the family surname, the first names of the parents, and the day of their marriage.

Facing west, proceed on the road, as it curves. At the choice, DO NOT go in the direction of the first letter of the parents’ first names. At the next choice, DO go in the direction of the parents’ first names.

When reaching the spot of many choices, take a quick right and left. Ketchum, Brooks, and Weiden will guide you. Stop at the headstone on the left with the same family surname as where you began. Susie and Henry are the grandparents.

Go left, and left again. Pass Dragoo, Messner, and Shoecraft. Note the baby food founder's mausoleum on the left. The last letter of this surname tells you which way to turn at the next 2 intersections.

On the right, stop at the headstone which rhymes with the original family’s surname. Standing between Sena and the infant, walk east the number of steps of the day of the marriage you recorded at the beginning.

PLEASE NOTE: Since this letterbox is in a cemetery, please be aware and respectful of those visiting loved ones. Re-hide the box carefully and completely so that it is not discovered randomly. I would appreciate it if you would log your find and let me know if the box needs any maintenance.
