like the Evergreen Cemetery as it is not only a peaceful place but holds untold tales of "ancient" history. One of the most interesting structures on the property is the "Rucker Pyramid" which was designed and constructed of Washington Granite by F.W. Ladd of Seattle, Washington. It was commissioned by Wyatt and Bethel Rucker in 1907 to honor their mother, Jane Morris Rucker. The brothers "founded" Everett by having the foresight to build a port and became partners in a lumbering company that brought them great wealth. To learn more about them, and those that rest here I suggest you go online to: http://epls.org/find/podcasts and search for "Evergreen Cemetery Walking Tour" by David Dilgard. There is also a download of written information that goes with it. You will not be disappointed!

To find the treasure you must enter the cemetery and head to the north west portion . I would suggest following the main road keeping left but no matter you will come upon it. Next to the maintenance area you will see a small parking area for "Ruckers Tomb". Park. Walk north past "McDermott" tomb on your right. Stop and admire the front of the "Pyramid". Explore. Continue to walk north to tree # 5 (on your right). Behind tree (east) # 5 lies "Mother", "Carver" and "Kibbey". Look in the "sprouts" of the tree on it's south east side and there you will find the Eye of Prosperity."
