This box was placed in honor of my oldest daughter who flew the nest last August to college and her new life in Tiverton Rhode Island. She took a job with a wild life rehab in Boston and was accepted into a Humboldt penguin program. She was given the nickname pookie as a toddler, and the stamp itself reflects her work with the penguins.
To find your prize you must find the forest beach migratory bird preserve outside of Belgium Wisconsin. This used to be a
Country club years ago and was taken over by the Ozaukee
Washington land trust. (Be sure to check out the Ozaukee Washington Land trust web site for more beautiful reserves) Park in parking lot. Walk past purple Martin colony and take paved trail Next to building. You will be following the beach trail. You will cross a small wooden plank bridge. Keep walking. At the gravel road follow the red arrow right. Follow road to bottom of hill make sure to follow beach path signage. Have a seat on the bench to your left after checking out the beach plaque sign. After you've soaked in the view, head right down the beach. When you see a large rock on the shores edge to your right look behind its neighboring stone. Stamp up and be sure to cover with heavy stones. We love you pookie.

Hike length: 1-2 miles
