This is our first letterbox!! I am a Crew Member at Trader Joe’s, and enjoyed many years of letterboxing with my own kiddos! Trader Joe’s is a perfect fit for a letterbox –the whole store is quirky, unique and FUN –just like letterboxing!!!
The box is OUTSIDE the store.
So here’s how to get to the box:
Heading South on I71, take Exit 12 onto Montgomery Road. Turn right onto Montgomery Road, we are past the first light on the left (same plaza as David’s Bridal, across the street from BP.
Heading North on I71, take Exit 11 onto Kenwood Road. At the end of the exit, turn left onto Kenwood Road. Turn left on Montgomery Road, then left again into the store.
Okay….so once you make it into our parking lot – the rest is easy! We wish we could bury it to hide it, but that just isn’t practical. But it’s in a nice safe place, and even has a BENCH for sitting to stamp your logbook.
Clue: Box is OUTSIDE the store, but close to the entrance. It is in an odd little cove, where an ATM was housed years ago. It is hidden as best as possible, but you don’t have to dig for it! It’s packed inside a jar of one of our best selling products. **be sure to really look behind the back of the bench!!**
We want to see if the letterbox will survive and be popular! We hope so, and if it is, one of our fantastic store artists will carve a new WAY BETTER stamp! I will update here when that happens.
Be stealth as you stamp, make it look like you’re just hanging out on the bench! Let’s see if we can keep our Letterbox Joe safe and sound for lots of letterboxing fun! Come in and let us know you found it if you’d like and we’ll give you a lollipop and stickers! Jennifer (aka Letterbox Joe!)
