May 27, 2016: Space Camp Communication Brief 6.9
We realize that training for a space mission is not all physical, but mental as well, and that long voyage will result in a certain amount of loneliness. Since sailors have been know to put up pinups of glamourous people to relieve their stress, we thought this might be a good idea for you campers, too. Therefore, we have created a letterbox with stamps intended to stimulate your imagination and improve morale. As for the subjects of the stamps, who better that your very own counselors from Michigan, along with a representative from Texas, a state with the best hunks in the letterboxing world. Follow these clues to receive your pinups. That is all.
Your camp counselors:
Poof and 4eyes
Clues:
Go to the Waterloo/Pinckney trailhead in the Portage Lake Unit Campground (Waterloo Rec Area). Walk abouot 100 yards to where the trail bends to the right, before going down to the lake. Look right and spy a tall, standing dead tree about 8 steps from the trail. Continue past it 7 steps to a large, double tree, then go right 12 steps to two down trees with trunks across from each other. Look behind the one on the right under bark and leaves next to a small tree.
P.S. Silver Eagle or Baby Bear - which one is the Texas hunk?? Only you, worthy camper, can decide.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
