Box is located in the Deep River entrance to Canfield Meadow Woods. Bring your own stamp pad and plenty of bugspray. There are lots of bugs.
Once you park car, grab a map at the entrance. Follow the yellow trail and cross over the railroad tracks. You will notice a white post with the number six on it. Then you will cross 3 small streams. Keep following the yellow trail. At the intersection of blue and yellow, stay on yellow . At the y, take left and continue on yellow. You will come to a split rock, take a left and follow it around and continue on yellow. Next you will come to your first small wooden bridge. Stay on yellow.then you will come to your second small wooden bridge cross over. Lastly you will cross a rock bridge. Go up the stone steps. Soon you will reach a wooden map post. Continue straight on yellow. Go through the big rock gap. Continue walking , walk past the Canfield sign and you will start to notice a rock wall, walk in between two large oak trees and walk toward wall. At the beginning of wall, facing it, go to the left. Take approx 26 steps to find a flat stone door with moss on the left. Open the door and you will find your present. Go back towards trail and walk back the way you came. Follow trail and walk past rock gap. Stop at the wooden map post. Facing the map post go left on to the blue trail. You will walk the blue trail, you will pass the start of the black trail on left and find a stone bench a little further down. Continue following blue, down the hill. Follow blue until you reach a T. Take a left on to yellow and follow back to your car . You may be lucky enough to catch the train going by if you time it right.

Hike length: 2-3 miles
