This letterbox is part of the GO and Be Active! program in York County, PA. It will be available from June 1, 2016 – August 14, 2016. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
The GO and Be Active! program requires you to search for up to 30 “activities” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression (with a colored pencil or crayon) from the engraved plate onto your GO and Be Active! rubbing sheet, available at any York County Library.
This letterbox is located at the Hanover-Spring Grove Trolley Line and should be accessed from the parking lot off Hershey Road. GO York! level of difficulty = Easy.
• From the parking lot, walk over to the gravel path and make a left.
• Carefully cross the street and continue on the path.
• You will see a wooden bench on the right. Continue walking straight.
• Next you will see a wooden fence on your right. In a short distance, you will find another wooden fence on your left.
• The post can be found near the second wooden bench.
• To return to your vehicle, turn around and go back the way you came.
Hike length: 1-2 miles
