This letterbox is part of the GO and Be Active! program in York County, PA. It will be available from June 1, 2016 – August 14, 2016. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

The GO and Be Active! program requires you to search for up to 30 “activities” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression (with a colored pencil or crayon) from the engraved plate onto your GO and Be Active! rubbing sheet, available at any York County Library.

This letterbox is located at York Township Park and should be accessed from the parking lot off Oak Street. GO York! level of difficulty = Moderate.

• From the parking lot, turn around and walk to the opening in the fence. The opening is next to the sign for soccer field #1.
• At the water fountain, make a right onto the gravel path.
• Walk past wooden pavilion on the left.
• Make a slight left at the intersection near McWilliams field.
• Before Kids Kingdom, make a left at the brown brick pavilion.
• Walk straight between the soccer and baseball fields.
• Continue straight until you reach the paved path, and then make a left onto the paved path.
• At the intersection make a right onto the gravel path. Continue walking behind the police station.
• At the York Area Regional Police sign, carefully cross the road and continue onto the paved path.
• Continue on the path as it goes downhill and turns to the left.
• Before you reach the rocks on the right, the post will be along the woodline.
• To return to your vehicle, turn around and follow the paved path back up the hill.
• At the intersection, make a right, pass a silver bench, and continue to the parking lot.
