This letterbox is part of the GO and Be Active! program in York County, PA. It will be available from June 1, 2016 – August 14, 2016. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
The GO and Be Active! program requires you to search for up to 30 “activities” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression (with a colored pencil or crayon) from the engraved plate onto your GO and Be Active! rubbing sheet, available at any York County Library.
This letterbox is located at the York Haven Hydro Station and should be accessed from the parking lot off Wago Road. GO York! level of difficulty = Easy.
• Starting from the parking lot, walk over to the bulletin board.
• Make a left at the bulletin board and follow the guardrail on the left.
• Turn right and walk between the basketball and tennis courts.
• Continue straight until you reach the tree line. At the tree line make a right.
• Walk straight with the tree line on the left.
• Walk about 50 yards and you will find the post near a pine tree on the left.
• To return to your vehicle make a right and walk across the grass to the parking lot.
