This Letterbox is located at Parmelee Farm in Killingworth on Route 81. It is a great place to have a picnic and take a hike. There is also a Little Free Library there so you can pick up a new book to read or leave some old books you don’t want.

Clues: Start in the gravel parking lot. Head out on the gravel path on the left of the Parmelee homestead. When you get to the white garage head right on the path. The Little Free Library is there. You can also take a picture of the trail map there so you can hike on after finding the box. When you get to the end of the red barn follow the road to the left. You want to continue on to the pond. This is a great place to sit and read a book or look for frogs. Go to the left of the pond where the benches are and head into the field. Cut straight across the field to the trailheads. You want to take the trails on the left. After you cross the wood footbridge, take the yellow trail to the left. Continue on this trail until you get to the scenic gorge. Stop when you get to the wood bench. This is a great place to stop and explore. Sit on the bench facing the trail. Look across the trail to a three sister tree. Behind the tree is a large flat rock. The Frog Manor letterbox is hidden on the underside of the right rock. You can hike on from here or turn around and go back.
