A statue of the Angel Moroni stands atop the Houston Texas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sometimes called the LDS or Mormon church. The statue design represents the Latter-day Saint belief that Moroni was the angel spoken of in Revelation 14. He faces east, which is the direction from which Jesus Christ is prophesied to return in accordance with Matthew 24:27, according to Latter-day Saint belief.

Behind the Houston Texas Temple and extending across Champion Forest Dr. is Cypress Forest Park, a property owned by the local Public Utilities District, acquired from an old golf course. The letterbox is in this park. You may park your car along the inlet to Chase Bank along Champion Forest Dr, directly across from the entrance to the Houston Texas Temple (at 30°00’01.25”N, 95°31’54.75”W). Follow the path south of the inlet to access Cypress Forest Park. Find a park bench due east from Moroni (remember the direction he faces). Walk an additional 40 paces due east up the grassy berm, and then 10 paces north. You will find the letterbox under a large fallen tree.

This stamp produces an unofficial symbol of the LDS Church, which is the logo of their flagship university. Please replace the container when completed and return the area to its natural state. You may tour the beautiful Houston Texas Temple grounds or Cypress Forest Park when you are finished finding this letterbox.
