The Last Unicorn, loosely based on the novel by Peter S. Beagle
Where have all the unicorns gone?
They are somewhere trapped away,
With your help we can find them
Yes, let’s find them now, today!
Begin your Journey on The University of Arizona campus in Tucson, AZ on the South side (front) of the Ina A. Gittings building. You should be on a small road (University) with the grassy mall behind you.
Proceed forward into the mouth of the cave formed of brick.
If you are lucky you may see the carnival folk practicing their dances in the rooms, but tread lightly so that you will not be discovered and forced to join their act!
Once you’ve reached the back of the cave take a moments rest.
A sip of water or a sweet drink, rest assured no red bull here.
Now down the rightward tunnel and out to the sweet little forest.
Peer through the branches, can you find our unicorn friend?
Sit with her and listen closely, for she knows where the unicorns are trapped:
“Find a box the color of sea foam, its gives us energy much like the winds and currents give the waves. Trapped beneath its green mass you shall find my unicorn friends, release them and I shall be forever grateful.”
What success!
Thank you for your good deeds, the unicorns are free and happy.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
