In Alexandria Virginia, find Beverly Park (known by the locals as “The Pit”). On the perimeter of the park bordered by North Overlook Drive, there is a stairway and a bench. Have a seat on the bench and take in the park. On the far side is a ‘Castle’ like playground structure. Take a sighting from where you sit on the bench past the high point of the castle to the hillside on the far side of the playground. That’s where the box is. Walk the perimeter of the pit to that spot and you’ll find the box just below the walkway where the end of the timber that supports the dirt on the low side of the trail. There are leaves covering the box. Enjoy! Please cover the box to hide it for the next searcher.
