Why Whimsy? The stamp in this microbox will change from time to time at the whim of The Cavy Lovers!

To find the box: Park in the lot and walk to the information board. Just to the right of it is a path to the Main House. Take that. You’ll quickly glimpse the large red brick manor home. Walk up the house and then proceed along its Right side to the back. Soon you'll see the wall of the formal garden to your left and you'll be walking along a rutted dirt road. Continue until you see a path to your Right, into the woods. *Follow it to a T intersection. You'll see a bench. Turn Left. Proceed until you reach a Y fork. Here, go to the Right. Walk along until you see some beautiful tall evergreens that would make majestic Xmas trees on both sides of the path. (If you get to the vernal pool on your right, you've gone a little too far*). Focus on last tall Xmas tree before the pond that is on the Right side of the path. Go off the path to the Right counting 3 or 4 tree trunks. Look for a Xmas tree with a trunk that bends toward the path at a right angle, about 8 feet up. This is the spot! The prize you seek is attached to a tree branch with 2 Velcro straps about 6' up. Please be gentle with the tree and the box. We left the logbook curled up and held by an elastic band. If the elastic is missing, please see if there is one taped inside one of the caps that can be used. After you stamp in, please re-hide carefully and make sure the Velcro straps are secure. Thank you!
* Vernal pools may dry up to mud patches. If the trail opens up to an open area/field, you've gone a bit too far!
