This letterbox is a memorial to the famed HAUNTED HAYRIDE thrown by the local fire department.
The hayride was last thrown in 2012 and will continued to be missed by those all over New England -- and beyond!
To start this spooky search, go to the park where the hauntings took place (if you've ever been, you know exactly where I'm talking about!) Park at the entrance to the park, before the gates [which are sometimes closed/locked, don't want anyone to get stuck!!). Start on the trail running parallel to the road. About halfway in, you will see a gnarled tree with several sisters and MANY vines on the right of the trail. Investigate closer to find a headless skeleton poking out of the ground and a knocked-over [wooden] tombstone for 'Alby Cein Yu'. Check under the tombstone to find the Haunted Hayride Memorial -- IF YOU DARE!!!
backtrack to get back to your car and please watch out for ghouls, ghosts and leftover hardware haunting the grounds of this old New England Halloween favorite :)
