Go to Silas Condict Park, the entrance is off of Kinnelon Road in Kinnelon, NJ.
Park in the middle parking lot.
Take the paved pathway. You will go past picnic tables and “Area C” (on your left) and a covered pavilion (on your right).
Continue walking towards the lake.
Bear Left at the fork. (The lake is on your left.)
Walk on the path along the lake. The Casino (a stone house) is on your Right. Enjoy the view of the pretty lake along the way!
At the end of the pavement take the worn trail through the grass. Continue walking along the lake. (A big rock is on your right and the lake on your left).
Walk across the grass towards the baseball diamond.
Take the gravel walkway around the lake. Go Left at the fork and walk along the lake.
There will be a bench on your left. Sit on it, turn your back to the water and you’ll see 2 trails forking- one to the left towards the water and the other goes to the right up a hill.
Take the Left trail.
After the cracked rock go Right up the rocky, mossy hill.
Stop at the top in the field of stones.
Pivot Left and look at the base of the trees in front of you.
Walk to the tree that looks like a giant dog’s paw.
Look Up and to the Right.
There’s a large gray rock that’s partly immersed in the ground.
What you seek is nestled between that rock and one of the trees that’s growing out of it.
Good luck!
