Start at Mine Falls Park, LINCOLN PARK Entrance. (Off of Exit 6 behind Hannaford's Supermarket)
Walk left over bridge on Turtle Trail; at the bottom of bridge make a hard right around railing to path.
Keep on path; river will be on your right.
Continue to clearing, staying to your left; power lines will be overhead.
After clearing, merge right, back in to the woods.....walk forward, keeping water on your right.
Path will diverge...."take the high road," and follow purple trail past marker P25.
Hang a left at P26; walk to the tree on right that bears the P28 marker; just past this are two trees that form a "V" Turn right and walk off trail in to the woods; you will see a tree stump. Walk towards the large tree in front of you (slightly to your left.)
Purple Giraffe is waiting for you under a little hollow log next to the big tree.
Oh...and we decided that the giraffe's name is Leonard.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
